I help women and mothers overcome challenges with mood, anxiety, and focus through a holistic, individualized approach so they can enjoy their lives and pursue their passions.
My name is Tricia Eshleman Latimer, and I'm a wife, mother, psychiatrist and psychotherapist.
I'm passionate about helping women overcome their mental health challenges by getting to the root of their issue.
Humans are multi-dimensional and overcoming mental health issues often doesn't just require one approach.
Therefore, I want to offer you an individualized approach, integrating insight-oriented psychotherapy, thoughtful medication use, lifestyle changes, and nutritional supplementation.
By listening to your story and unique experience, I want you to feel empowered to share in the decision-making so you can grow in resilience, discovering how that resilience manifests in your life.
Here are just some of the conditions that I treat:
Mood disorders
Anxiety disorders
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Trauma disorders
Substance use disorders
Eating disorders
My approach begins with an initial psychiatric evaluation that you can schedule by calling or texting 513-960-6526. During this evaluation, I spend the majority of time simply listening to your story and your goals for your mental health. We discuss what you've tried in the past and your current medications as well as other current life factors that are affecting your mental health.
At the end of the initial evaluation, we discuss what we think is going on. Sometimes diagnoses are helpful for folks so they can put a name to what they've been going through.
After this initial appointment and we decide that we would be a good fit for each other, I may recommend medications, further evaluation, lab tests, or therapy depending on your unique needs. I often also have nutritional and lifestyle recommendations in order to treat you holistically.
We then discuss follow-up, and these follow ups are scheduled for 1 hour in length. During these follow up appointments, we continue to discuss your evolving symptoms, how the recommendations are working for you, and/or lab/evaluation results. I also provide insight-oriented and/or supportive psychotherapy during these follow-ups. The frequency of appointments can vary between a couple of times per week if you're in a rough spot to once every 6 months if you're doing relatively well where you're at. It really depends on your individual needs, incorporating the severity of your symptoms and your financial situation as well.
I attended Bluffton University, a small liberal arts university, for my undergraduate training. Following this, I obtained my medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. I then stayed at the University of Cincinnati/UCMC for my adult psychiatry training. I'm currently getting credentialed in child and adolescent psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
